- Promoted Human Resource Development in line with Government Strategic Vision of improving the profile of the Department in particular
- Provided supervision to the Transport Branch on the following responsibilities:

- Construction and Maintenance of Roads
- Transport Strategic Planning
As Chief Director at the Department of Transport and Public Works – Gauteng Provincial Government he took responsibility for the following:
- Providing leadership/overall supervision to the Chief Directorate with a staff compliment of nearly 1500 with three technical Directorates
- As member of Top Management he participated in the development of the strategic vision and mission of the Department
- Providing guidance and Leadership in shaping the Provincial Policy with regard to the Public Works Programme
- Participated in drafting the Provincial Policy on Public Works
- Providing Leadership to a Transformation Task Team charged with the responsibility of transforming the Department of Transport and Public Works
- Ensuring adequate and effective Budget Management
- Providing support and guidance for the implementation of the Small and Emerging Contractor Development Programme
- Participated in Strategic Interdepartmental Committees
At the Independent Development Trust he was tasked with the following key responsibilities:
- Supervision of a team of Development Consultants engaged in the facilitation of community based development through Community Based Structures
- Provision of support and advice towards the execution of community based development initiatives
- Monitoring the disbursement of development funds and expenditure thereof
- Managed a team of training consultants ensuring the relevancy of their training modules and methods to the needs of the community based institutions
- Facilitation of workshop and seminars aimed at sharing views/ideas on development issues
- Provision of inputs in the formation of housing and urban development policy initiatives of the department
- Liaison and networking with local and foreign development agencies on behalf of the communities
- Promotion and formulation of strategies for building PPPs.
